Jana is based on the original music of Antonio Lai's album New Sardinian Music Volume 1. The music is conceived and produced exclusively for this show, in a perspective of interaction and synergy with the stage direction. The figure of jana is fundamental in the framework of the traditional culture of Sardinia. It is a legendary female character with multiple aspects, often described as an ambiguous being between a fairy and a witch. In this performance, music and theater are closely related.
